(HealthDay News) -- While sweet fruit juices may be a favorite for kids, too much can show the way to obesity and tooth decay, the American Academy of Pediatrics says.

The seminary offers these recommendations for fruit fluid part in kids' diets:

Children younger than 6 months shouldn't desire any fruit juice.

Children 1 to 6 years antiquated should have no more than 4 to 6 ounces of fluid a day. Whole fruits offer greater good nutritional benefits, fiber and nutrients.

Children 7 to 18 years original should have no more than 8 to 12 ounces of fluid daily.

Encourage children to drink further water and low-fat milk.
