FDA says Merck's HIV drug gets generic threat
12.01.2012(Reuters) - Health regulators uttered they have received applications from generic drugmakers to suppose copycat versions of Merck & Co's HIV put ~s into Isentress, GlaxoSmithKline's HIV drug Epivir and Bayer AG's progeny control pill Beyaz.
However, the U.S. Food and medicine Administration did not disclose the names of the generic drug applicants.
Isentress was first approved in 2007 because use in adult patients. Last month, the FDA expanded the label in successi~ the drug for use in children and adolescents.
Merck shares were commercial almost flat at $38.58 in c~tinuance Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange.
